Circa 1895

Photochrome, Vintage, 22,5 cm x 16,5 cm, Collection Privée

Nazareth is a city which was built two millennia BC in the north of Israel, in Galilee. It is the village where Mary and Joseph lived and where Jesus spent his youth. The mother of Constantine the Great made a link of pilgrimage and gave the name of Nazareth to this small village of Galilee in the 8th century. Until then, it was called En Nazira.
