On July 21, at 15:19 UTC after a sleep phase, the astronauts prepared the take-off from the Moon. At 17:54 UTC, they took off the Lunar Module from the Moon surface. At 21:24 UTC, Eagle rendezvoused with Columbia where Michael Collins was always waiting for his colleagues. Once the docking of the two modules was successful at 21:35 UTC, the Lunar Module was dropped. The next day at 4:56 UTC, the three astronauts successfully joined in an atmospheric orbit for the return to Earth.
